Sakura and Sasuke 's story began as an unrequited romantic tale. Although Naruto is a shonen aimed at men, the creator, Masashi Kishimoto, incorporated romance into the series. At first, Sakura started out as one of Sasuke's fangirls, but as she spent time with him as a teammate and got to know him, her feelings evolved from admiration to genuine love.
Sakura's devotion to Sasuke was well received by fans around the world and these fans gave the pair the name SasuSaku. Since then, the couple has been one of the most popular duos of all time. ⏱️

15. SASUKE DIDN'T EXIST IN THE ORIGINAL DESIGN OF NARUTO
When Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto ✒️ initially conceptualized the series, Sasuke Uchiha was not written into the initial draft. In fact, Sasuke didn't exist in Naruto's world until Editor-in-Chief Kishimoto suggested that Naruto needed a rival to progress.
After receiving the advice, Kishimoto created Sasuke by taking ideas from an old manga and anime character named Sasuke Sarutobi. This character is known as a legendary ninja who has the agility of a monkey and the ability to conjure lightning. Additionally, like the Sasuke we know today, Sasuke Sarutobi also fights with a sword. 🗡️
In addition to the similarities in fighting styles, Sasuke Sarutobi also has a companion in his manga/anime series and ironically, her name is Sakura.
14. SAKURA WAS THE FIRST TO DEFEAT AN AKATSUKI MEMBER
During the second arc of Naruto, Sakura was the first to defeat an Akatsuki member ☁️ with the help of the Suna Village Ninjas. This was a great moment for the development of her status as a heroine because, during the first arc, Sakura was known for being useless.

By the end of the series, Sakura was considered one of the greatest medical ninjas in the world. To be recognized as one of the best, Sakura had to work hard for it. After deciding to try to assist Naruto and Sasuke, she asked to be an apprentice to the Fifth Hokage and disciple of the legendary Sanin, Tsunade . Although Kishimoto stated in an interview with Kobayashi that he first tried to establish Hinata as a heroine towards the end of the series, Sakura returned to being the leading lady of the saga. The heroine should be someone who interacts with the main members of the series. Sakura and Hinata are both great characters, but Sakura was necessary to move the plot forward. That's why it was so important for her to appear in every Naruto movie. 🎬
7. SASUKE HAS A CROSS DOMINANT POSITION
All ninjas in the Naruto universe are capable of fighting with two hands. This is a given, but it does not mean that both sides of the fighters body are dominant. Sasuke is one of the few with a cross-dominant position.

The scene between Sasuke and Sakura in chapter 181 is ranked as the best scene in Naruto Data Book 2. 📚 In this chapter, Sasuke has come to the conclusion that he no longer belongs in Konoha and that he must follow Orochimaru in order to become a ninja strong enough to beat his older brother Itachi. Sakura has the feeling that he intends to leave the village, so she waits for him at the exit.
Here, Sakura confronts him and makes a sincere confession, telling him that if he stayed with her, there would be no regrets and that every day would , one day, be happy. She even suggests that if he refuses to stay, she would be willing to leave with him. Sasuke knows that the path of revenge is not for Sakura, so he thanks her, knocks her out and leaves her on a bench before leaving. 🛋️
This scene between the two protagonists was incredibly moving. The last time Sakura confessed her feelings to Sasuke, she was a fangirl who knew nothing about him. However, in this scene, it is clear that Sakura's feelings have evolved from admiration to love.
4. SASUKE AND SAKURA ARE THE ONLY MEMBERS OF THE SAME TEAM TO FINISH TOGETHER
Out of all of Naruto's classmates, Sasuke and Sakura were the only members of the same team to get married and have a family. 💑

3. SAKURA IS THE LAST PERSON SASUKE WANTED TO HURT
At the same time, Sasuke had just learned that he had wrongly killed his brother. He discovered that the top officials of his home village had overseen the massacre of his clan and that his brother had been forced to act as a double agent in all the bloodshed. 🩸
Sasuke shouldn't have tried to kill Sakura , but he was only trying to protect himself. Indeed the replacement Hokage, Danzo gave the order to kill Sasuke because he was now considered a Nukenin. Sakura couldn't stand the idea of someone hurting her, so she decided that she was the only person who could take action. 1. THE BLOW ON SAKURA'S FOREHEAD WAS DESCRIBED AS A FINAL EXPRESSION OF LOVE
At the end of the series, Sasuke showed Sakura his final expression of love by poking her on the forehead. Throughout the flashbacks, Sasuke is seen receiving blows to the forehead from his older brother Itachi . At first, he initially thought that his older brother wanted to create distance from him, but later he realized that this gesture was Itachi's way of showing his love for him.
When Sakura suggested leaving the village with Sasuke at the end of the series, he refused her offer and punched her on the forehead instead. This gesture speaks louder than any kiss or confession, since this gesture was Sasuke's way of saying "wait for me", I will come back!
On the very last page of the short story Naruto : Sakura's Story by Masashi Kishimoto and Tomohito Ohsaki, it is Sakura who welcomes Sasuke.
