Madara Uchiha plays a prominent role in the Naruto franchise as the main antagonist.👿 He is a person who has an oversized ego, which pits him against Hashirama Senju 's reasoning and sensitivity on several occasions.
However, his manipulative and self-centered personality eventually caused him to be at odds with his own clan members, especially after he co-founded Konoha Village. Despite being a prodigy, Madara did not begin his life at odds with the world around him. He was born during a time of war ⚔️ and that's the only thing he's ever known. Death was a way of life, and the power allowed him to stay alive longer than those around him. The power from which Madara draws his strength to face the outside world will eventually take over his innocence that was once a part of him.
Madara is known for having some of the best evil quotes of any Naruto antagonist. These famous lines will permanently etch Madara into the Naruto universe as one of the best iconic characters in the series. Quotes such as "Man seeks peace, but at the same time longs for war. 15. MADARA WAS THE MASTER OF 10 TRANSFORMATIONS OF NATURE
There are five basic elements in Naruto - fire 🔥, wind 🌪️, lightning 🌩️, earth and water. 🌊 By combining two or more of these elements at the same time, we obtain new elementary properties and new transformations. There is also Inton, which is based on spiritual energy, and Yoton, which is based on vitality and physical energy.
Madara has mastered the five standard elements of nature, with Inton, Yoton, Inyoton, Ranton and the Mokuton . He also spent years mastering the Mokuton, using the DNA he stole from Hashirama Senju.
Madara was a young prodigy and one of the most talented fighters in the history of the Uchiha clan. He is recognized as one of the strongest members. He was also born with a powerful chakra, described as evil, and possessed a phenomenal amount of chraka allowing him to fight for 24 hours without stopping.
14. HE USED THE STATUE OF THE GREAT H ERESIAC DEMON AS A SOURCE OF LIFE
The statue of the Great Demon Heresiarch (外道魔像) was the vessel of the Ten-Tailed Demon, it only responds to those who possess the Rinnegan. Madara used it to keep himself alive, making him the only Shinobi in the saga to use the Demon Statue in this way.
Nagato tried to make contact with the statue by tapping it like Madara, but it almost killed him. This is probably because Madara patted the flower and not the statue itself. Madara 🌓 had designed a system to connect directly to the demonic statue using tubes running from its back to the flower on which the statue rests. The flower 🌸 serving as a base fed on the statue. He used it not only to extend his life in order to complete Obito's training, but also to harvest Hashirama 's DNA while creating plant humanoids from it.
13. HE WAS TECHNICALLY THE 1ST HOKAGE
The Senju clan and the Uchiha clan were natural enemies. Madara became the leader of the Uchiha, while Hashirama led the Senju clan.
After being defeated by Hashirama several times, Madara finally accepted his offer. They will then unite to create a village which would be a symbol of this peace 🕊️ , Madara will call it the Hidden Village of Konoha . Hashirama will elect Madara as Hokage of Konoha Village. Tobirama, however, was against Madara being Hokage, so he proposed that the first Hokage be decided by a vote. Hashirama, being the stronger 💪 of the two and the more popular among the two clans, was elected First Hokage.
Incidentally, this would be the only time a vote was held after a recommendation was made. It should also be noted that all of the Seven Hokage including Naruto, can be traced back to Hashirama Senju in some way.
12. MADARA IS THE FIRST UCHIHA TO AWAKEN THE RINNEGAN
The Rinnegan 👁️ was first manifested by Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki . This was a Rinnegan that was a kekkei mōra, which is classified as a unique jutsu of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki and her direct lineage. Madara was only able to obtain the Rinnegan after imbuing himself with Hashirama's DNA. This would be the first time in history that a Rinnegan would appear outside of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's direct bloodline.
The only downside for Madara's Rinnegan was that it didn't have full access to the original's abilities. Naturally, the Rinnegan can be transplanted into another person's eyes, like any dōjutsu . Madara implanted both of his eyes 👀 into Nagato when he was young and without his knowledge, allowing Nagato to take full advantage of them thanks to his Senju lineage. After Nagato's death, Obito Uchiha will receive the Rinnegan.
11. MADARA DID NOT CREATE ZETSU
Madara used the demonic statue to collect Hashirama's DNA and create humanoids from it, bringing the Zetsus to life. Madara assumed that the Zetsus were created by him, but it was later revealed that all of the Zetsus were actually humans who had been fused with the God Tree . 🌳 The Zetsus were originally victims of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's Infinite Tsukuyomi , these were tied to the God Tree for years and were stored in the demon statue. 👹
The Black Zetsu was pulling the White Zetsu and other victims from the statue's husk after Madara summoned it and cultivated it with Hashirama Senju's DNA. Madara's naivety in thinking that he had created the Zetsus would lead to his downfall after his resurrection.
10. HE WAS THE ONLY NINJA CAPABLE OF DETECTING SHADOW CLONES
Madara is considered an exceptional Ninja in the Naruto series since he awakened his Sharingan , that is to say since his childhood, with a tomoe in both eyes. By the time he approached adulthood, Madara could use the Sharingan better than any other member of the Uchiha clan . 🌘
In the entire Naruto series, he is said to be the only individual capable of detecting shadow or wood clones (especially when used by Naruto and Hashirama). Madara could place targets under genjutsu and paralyze them with the briefest eye contact. His Sharingan even had the ability to trap Kurama . 🦊 Madara showed its full power when he programmed one of his eyes to activate Izanagi after his death, allowing him to change reality and resurrect himself.
9. HE LOVED TO FIGHT MORE THAN ANYONE IN THE WORLD
Madara's favorite phrase is " Armour-Sleeved Single Hit " (鎧袖一触). In other words, he liked to destroy his opponent with a single deadly blow. Murder brought Madara joy and purpose. He loved the taste of his own blood 🩸, as well as the sights and screams of a battlefield. 🔊 You could almost say he was addicted to fighting - it satisfied him, but left him craving it even more.
What Madara didn't expect when he was resurrected was that he couldn't fully experience the thrill of battle. Although it is in tune with the sensory part of fighting. You may not have noticed, but Madara was upset during the battle right after his resurrection . Indeed, Madara wanted to achieve victory at all costs, and for that, he could not let his emotions show in order to avoid failing along the way.
8. HIS ELEMENT WAS WIND AND NOT FIRE
Madara is one of the strongest members of the Uchiha clan, which leads you to believe that fire was his favored element! In reality Madara hated fire, and found that the nature of wind suited his personality and fighting style better. This doesn't mean he didn't use the fire element. In fact, he often combined fire and wind together. 🔥🌪️ Madara always did whatever it took to be victorious, even if it meant using an element he didn't like, like fire.
In the anime, Madara has often created giant walls of flame. He also combined wind to create a moving wall of fire or project dragon-shaped fireballs at his opponents. It should also be noted that Madara was not afraid to use the other elements, as he often combined them when he needed to. 👍
7. HE IS NOT LISTED AS A SENJUTSU USER DESPITE HIS USE OF ALL SIX WAYS
Despite the different information, Madara is not listed as a senjutsu user in the fourth Naruto databook. Most assume he is because he uses the Six Paths Senjutsu . 📜 Madara may not be on the list of senjutsu users because he stole the ability to use the Six Paths Senjutsu from Hashirama 's DNA. Unfortunately, the fourth databook 📚 doesn't explain in detail why Madara is listed the way he is.
6. MADARA WAS NOT TOTALLY DEMONIC
Although he loves the taste of his own blood 🩸 and himself considers his chakra to be evil, Madara was not a bad person - he simply let life's circumstances lead him down a bad path .
Some notable good qualities about Madara that many fans may not know about is that he viewed men and women as equals. 🤜🤛 He never looked down on a woman in battle and fought them like a man. In his mind, the only difference between the two was that a woman could give birth, which caused no difference on the battlefield.
Madara was a Frugal Ninja . Power and money usually go hand in hand, but not for Madara. He often liked less expensive items and was never known for purchasing anything extravagant.
5. ONLY NARUTO HAD MORE JUTSU TECHNIQUES THAN MADARA
Madara was a highly skilled Ninja with a wide variety of ninjutsu styles, making him a near-immortal fighter. He was known to use Junejutsu to restrict his opponents' actions, hide on the surface of a battlefield, fake his death using a Shadow Clone, and even levitate.
With 52 Jutsu techniques, Madara led the pack in number of techniques used second behind Naruto , who recorded 81 Jutsu techniques. Madara also liked to use weapons ⚒️ during fights. His favorite weapon was his gunbai, a non-folding fan carved from a tree. His gunbai had been passed down from generation to generation among Uchiha warriors. Madara used it to reflect and protect himself from attacks, also sometimes wielding it like a mace. This specific gunbai could convert chakra into the wind nature element.
4. HIS LOVE FOR IZUNA WAS STRONGER THAN ITACHI’S FOR SASUKE
Izuna wasn't Madara's only brother. He also had three other brothers who were killed at a young age by the Senju Clan. However, the death of his brothers brought Madara and Izuna closer together, forming a nearly unbreakable bond. After Izuna awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan , the two brothers would become the leaders of the Uchiha clan.
Izuna was later mortally wounded by Tobirama (Hashirama's brother) during a battle. Hashirama then asked Madara if peace could finally be an option between the two clans. 🌘
Madara considered the offer until Izuna told him not to listen to Hashirama's lies. Madara retreated with Izuna, who later died and gave Madara his eyes. 👁️ This last act of love from Izuna allowed Madara to obtain the Eien no Mangekyô Sharingan .
3. HE ONLY DID WHAT HE WANTED TO DO
Although the Uchiha clan expressed their opinions about wanting peace with the Senju clan, Madara ignored them as leader and continued on the path he saw as best for the Uchiha clan . 🛣️
Following his asylum in Konoha , his determination to complete his tasks took precedence over everything around him. Madara resorted to manipulation and lies to get what he wanted, no matter the cost. Madara always planned contingency plans in order to secure his actions and achieve his objectives. 2. HE LIVED 120 YEARS BEFORE HIS FIRST OFFICIAL DEATH
Madara 's long life was extended with the help of the demonic statue but his motivations allowed him to reach the age of 120. 👴 Madara knew he had obtained the power he desired at the end of his life but possessed a weak and old body incapable of accomplishing his goals.
His contingency plan 🚨 was to extend his life as long as possible so he could train Obito and transform him (with mind control devices) into a perfect, obedient soldier , known to Naruto fans as Tobi . He also transplanted part of himself into the Black Zetsu , thinking it was a creation of his and Nagato's Rinnegan 👁️ in order to be resurrected afterwards. This will then allow the Zetsu to see through Tobi and Negato, to ensure that his plan goes smoothly. If Madara could have accomplished what he desired before his death, who knows how old he would have lived.
1. MADARA ADMIRED AND HATED HASHIRAMA SENJU
Despite all the animosity between Hashirama and Madara, the two shared the same ideals when they were younger. Both boys grew up in an era of constant war, in which they had to keep their names secret for fear of attack.
Madara and Hashirama were childhood friends for a short time because they both thought the slaughter of children on the battlefield was senseless. Before Madara's second death, he cleared things up with Hashirama. He told him that although his dream of peace died, Hashirama's dream would live on. Hashirama will then tell Madara that despite everything they have been through, he still considers Madara a friend, causing a smile to appear on Madara's face. 🙂
