Who is Blast in One Punch Man?

The One-Punch Man anime is as hot as summers in Japan. I love Saitama's power that he can beat any enemy with just one punch. 👊🏻

The anime aired its second season and various advertising campaigns began. Both the original manga and its anime adaptation are great and I can't wait for the third season to be announced.

One-Punch Man is a manga with many superheroes. In this article, we are going to talk about Blast, the best hero of class S , the one who has the No. 1 position, who is not yet revealed in the manga nor in the anime

This article contains manga ❌spoilers❌ for both theONE webcomic and the Yusuke Murata remake for chapters that have not yet been adapted into the anime. Please stop here if you don't want to be spoiled.

Blast: Tier 1 Hero, Class S

Blast is the #1 ranked superhero in Class S. Among One-Punch Man's many superheroes, he is recognized as the best and most powerful hero by the Heroes Association.🦸‍♂️ His identity is currently unknown and this is sparking all kinds of speculation.

Blast finally appeared in the 106th chapter of One's webcomic. Until then, we only knew of his existence through what other heroes said about him. Now we know he really exists and knows about Tatsumaki (nicknamed The Tornado of Terror ). His face is not clearly shown, but we learn that his hair is short and he wears a hero costume with a cape. His cape is reminiscent of Saitama's, but unlike our favorite hero, he has hair. 👱🏻‍♂️

Blast and Tastumaki

Tatsumaki was used as a guinea pig because of her incredible psychic abilities 18 years ago, when she was little and isolated in a special institution. One day, she lied that she couldn't use her psychic powers and was locked in a cell . Then a chimera went out of control👹, attacking the people at the institution.

Tatsumaki could do nothing but stare at the monster, and Blast suddenly appeared in front of her to save her. He defeated her and preached to her not to wait for anyone's help when the time comes. This encouraged her to become a superhero🦸‍♀️ and she is now the number 2 hero of Class S.

But who is this mysterious hero who influenced Tatsumaki's life? Let's examine his identity and the various theories about him.

Theory 1: Blast is Saitama's father?

Some speculate that Blast is Saitama's father, as in a flashback scene, Blast looked like a young man👱🏻‍♂️ and to some extent, he has the same facial features as Saitama. Saitama is now 25 years old, and the flashback is from 18 years ago, so Saitama was only seven years old at the time, therefore Blast cannot be Saitama .

However, Blast pretends to do his hero activity just for fun, like Saitama always says. His words remind us of Saitama. Considering its age, this theory is entirely plausible.🔎

Let's say Blast is Saitama's father and he had Saitama when he was 25. Blast would have been 32 years old at the time of the flashback.⏮ If Blast is still alive today, he could be 50 years old and Saitama 25. It is possible that Saitama's father is also a superhero capable of defeating any which with a single punch .

It seems exciting that Saitama could be the heir to his father's power. We might see a father and son fighting together in the future. It might be amazing to see scenes with these two One Punch Man characters.

Theory 2: Blast is actually Saitama

Some speculate that Blast is actually Saitama but he may have suffered memory loss.🧠 Saitama may have amnesia for what happened in the past, but he assumes and says he is 25 without thinking, probably because he doesn't remember his exact age.

He was able to achieve his incredible superhuman strength through his own training , as his body remembers his combat experiences before losing his memory. This also seems plausible.🔎 Saitama is quite careless and it's possible that he simply doesn't know his age.

Let's say Blast was 20 years old 18 years ago. So Saitama, who was once Blast, would actually be 38 years old! His face is very simplified in the drawings and it's not ridiculous to think he could be in his thirties. Personally, I think it would be very amusing to read that Saitama will remember his identity in the future, and at the same time, he will remember Tasumaki.

Theory 3: Blast passed his power to Saitama

Some believe that Saitama inherited Blast's power, even though they are not related by blood.🩸 Blast found hero potential in Saitama in the past and passed his power on to him. This theory also seems plausible and interesting.

Blast was also a superhero who could defeat anyone with a single punch like Saitama, and he was looking for his successor.🏆 When he saw Saitama's stoic attitude towards his training and towards the monsters he he fights, he may have seen the quality of a legitimate hero in him and decided to help him become what he is now to defeat the enemies with a single punch.

Blast is said to appear in times of real danger, when humanity is on the verge of extinction , when all hope is lost. It is therefore possible that he will appear when the end of the world is real and that he will reveal the story of the transfer of power to Saitama.

Theory 4: Blast is Tatsumaki and Fubuki's father?

Some speculate that Blast is the father of Tatsumaki (nicknamed "Tornado of Terror") and Fubuki . Since the word "blast" means explosion in English, their names all have the element of wind in common. Blast has extremely powerful power as a superhero and he is psychic.

But he was targeted by bad guys because of his talent, and he reportedly decided to go into hiding so as not to involve his daughters. His daughters' psychic genius, however, grew and got Tatsumaki interned. Blast took pity on her for this, he saved her from a chimera, gave her advice and left her without revealing her identity. Tatsumaki was influenced by her own father without knowing who he was.

It is possible that both Tatsumaki and Fubuki have other secrets in their past that will be revealed later.㊙

Blast's Identity

Blast has yet to appear properly in Yusuke Murata's One-Punch Man manga, and he remains mysterious. It may be a few more years before we see it appear there. I'm anticipating the reveal in the near future, while speculating on all sorts of possibilities.🦸‍♂️
