Yuei High School is widely considered to be the best academy to pursue a hero career in My Hero Academia. 🦸♂️ Over the years, this school has managed to produce some of the best heroes, like the former number 1 hero All Might. The current generation of heroes at UA is full of students with extraordinary abilities, some capable of becoming the next number 1 hero in the future of manga.
Among the many students who train rigorously to become professional heroes at UA High School, some tend to shine more than others. Here is a ranking of Yuei's best students.
15. Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu
This metallic boy is the mirror image of Eijiro Kirishima, from Class 1-A, and both are bored by the redundancy of it all. But the good news is that they are also strong. Their Quirks are simple but effective: harden the skin.🧱 Tetsutetsu has already fought Kirishima to a draw and the fight stopped (which says a lot), and he can take more than one bullet without falling. If he eats enough iron, his skin can harden even more, making him an excellent melee warrior and shield for allied forces.
14. Rikido Sato
Although Rikodo is big and strong, he has yet to experience a great moment of triumph. In everyday life, this gentle giant is easy-going, and the girls all love his hobby of baking cakes and other sweets in his room. 🍰 In battle, Rikido can ingest sugar to receive a huge boost, allowing him to crush just about anything for a short period of time.
13. Denki Kaminari
Denki's only real problem is that he's a bit naive and gets the worst grades in Hero Class 1-A. That's why he works at full capacity when a teammate gives him clear direction. His Quirk emits powerful lightning that can stun multiple targets at once. Mei Hatsume later made him a wrist-mounted device that can channel his lightning into a narrow, precise beam to avoid collateral damage. ⚡
12. Ibara Shiozaki
This Class 1-B student doesn't have a mean bone in her body, and she didn't like it when Present Mic suggested that she was a brutal warrior. Instead, Ibara likes to incapacitate his enemies without shedding blood, and with his Quirk this is 100% possible. Her hair grows like vines , and she can quickly extend and move it like tentacles to capture and subdue enemies. As she proved against Denki, she can also block enemy attacks with these vines, making them useful in both offense and defense. 🌾
11. Tenya Iida
The serious but friendly Tenya Iida is the delegate of Class 1-A, and he is the second smartest student behind the genius Momo Yaoyorozu.🧠 Iida values discipline and studies above all else, and he also makes a good coach . Iida's Quirk allows him to sprint at incredible speeds , and he can easily outrun most of his opponents and eliminate them. He can also deliver fast and powerful kicks, as he demonstrated against the powerful Shoto Todoroki during the sports festival. He didn't win this match, but he had a narrow escape.
10. Hitoshi Shinsō
Shinso is a general department student in Class 1-C at the University of Alberta. He debuted during the sports festival, and Shinso's power instantly made him a fan favorite. He possesses the quirk known as "brainwashing" 🧠 which allows him to control anyone who answers his questions. Thanks to Aizawa's training, Shinso has made using this ability much more impressive, and he can now use a voice changer to fool his enemies even more.
Additionally, Shinso's physical prowess has reached a point where he can fight against other people without relying on his Quirk , thanks to adopting Shota Aizawa's Cloth Binding technique.
9. Setsuna Tokage
Described as the most talented student in Class 1-B, Tokage is extremely competent and proud. As his name suggests, Tokage's Quirk, known as Self-Amputation, allows him to split his body into multiple parts and use each part with great telekinetic precision. 🦎 This is undoubtedly a formidable ability, and with her powers, Tokage was sure she could defeat Katsuki Bakugo . Although she lost to him, Tokage remains an excellent student, most of whose abilities have not yet been fully revealed.
8. Fumikage Tokoyami
Tokoyami is the user of the frightening Quirk known as Dark Shadow which grants him the powers of a strange bird-like shadow entity that resides within him. 👹 Tokoyami's Quirk becomes stronger in the presence of darkness, and weaker when there is light around him. Therefore, he is unable to properly control her in complete darkness, which is why he chooses to suppress her abilities as much as possible. Nonetheless, Tokoyami's abilities are certainly deadly, and while he doesn't get to show it as much, he is one of the strongest in the AU
7. Eijiro Kirishima
Eijiro Kirishima of class 1-A, is one of the brightest students at the University of Alberta. Although he does not appear to be dangerous based on his appearance, his Quirk states otherwise. Kirishima has the power of hardening with which he can solidify his body to varying degrees at will. Once he reaches his limits, Kirishima takes on a form known as " Red Riot Unbreakable". This form is exceptionally formidable and certainly makes him a threat to any villain. In terms of skills, his mastery of this form allows him to be one of the strongest in the AU, and even more so in his own class. 💪🏻
6. Shoto Todoroki
Belonging to Class 1-A, Shoto Todoroki is considered a prodigy who is already around the level of pro heroes. His father, Endeavor, made sure that he trained to the point that he could, one day, surpass even All Might . Shoto's Quirk is known as Half-Cold Half-Hot and a perfect blend of his mother's ice ability and his father's flame ability. Thanks to this Quirk, he can manipulate these two powers simultaneously and give birth to a highly destructive power. Despite this, Shoto has a lot to learn and his control over his fire side is not as good, which is why he is currently training under Endeavor. 🔥
5. Katsuki Bakugo
Undoubtedly one of the strongest freshmen in the United States, Class 1-A's Bakugo is a monster in terms of strength. In a bid to surpass All Might and become the number 1 hero in the future, Bakugo joined the Yuei Academy, and as expected, he has continued to excel ever since.
His Quirk is known as Explosion 💥, and with his powers, Bakugo can produce nitroglycerin from his palms and ignite it to create huge explosions. Thanks to his abilities, Bakugo rivals Midoriya in terms of skill, and could even be superior to him, undoubtedly. Just like Shoto, he is training with Endeavor to become stronger at the moment.
4. Izuku Midoriya
Successor to All Might and current user of One For All , Midoriya might just be the best student in Class 1-A at university.🦸♂️ He has fought some of the most heinous villains during his time at UA, and his abilities only get better with time.
In addition to the drastic physical boost that One For All gives him, he can also access seven other Quirks thanks to past users of this ability. Midoriya recently manifested the power to use his second Quirk known as Black Whips, and he is currently training to control his powers under the tutelage of Endeavor.
3. Nejire Hado
Nejire is one of the top three students at the University of Alberta and belongs to class 3-A. Working under the leadership of Ryuko, the current number 10 hero, Nejire has taken her powers to an extremely high level. She possesses the Quirk known as Wave Movement, which allows her to use her life energy and emit it in the form of powerful blows. 👊🏻More or less, his Quirk resembles that of Katsuki Bakugo and in application, they are also quite identical in appearance. Although much of her powers are still unseen, she showed a good portion of them during the Overhaul arc and needless to say, she is already a hero that villains fear.
2. Tamaki Amajiki
Also known by his hero name "Suneater", Tamaki Amajiki is arguably the second best student at My Hero University in the United States. He possesses the power of "Manifesto" which allows him to transform his arms and legs into anything he has eaten before using it. While this ability doesn't seem threatening, the way Suneater uses it is commendable.
As can be seen in the Eight Precepts arc, Tamaki's powers allow him to fight some of the physically strongest fighters. In addition to his Quirk, he also has an iron will, he never gives up. Without a doubt, he will become a fantastic professional hero. 🦸♂️
1. Mirio Togata
Mirio Togata, from Class 3-A, is arguably the strongest of them all . His strength is such that he has been openly described by Aizawa as the closest type to All Might, even among pro heroes. Mirio's power is known as Permeation and it allows him to slip through things at will. On the surface, it appears to be an overpowered ability, but in truth, Mirio transformed it into what it is today.
Even without using his Quirk, Mirio is undeniably a formidable fighter, as evidenced in his fight against Overhaul. Although he lost his Quirk, he should eventually regain it and hopefully see it become even stronger in the future. 🏆
