Silvers Rayleigh is a famous and extremely powerful retired pirate. He was born on May 13 and is approximately 1.88 meters tall. Better known as the "Dark Lord", he was 76 years old before the timeskip and 78 years old after the timeskip. Rayleigh was the first mate of Gol D. Roger's crew, and as the Pirate Lord's right-hand man, he is also known as the "Pirate King's Right-Hand Man" . Like Whitebeard, Shiki, Monkey D. Ace , his spiritual brother. From there, Rayleigh helped Luffy break into Marine Ford with the Jinbe Sea Knight with the aim of sending a secret message to his crew.
After a period of time, around two years, it is clear that these two characters have become close through training together. When Luffy went to Thousand Sunny, he announced to Rayleigh that he was going to become the Pirate King. As a member of 7 Great Corsair Captains , Kuma considers the World Government to be an enemy. In the One Piece series, the Marine Ford Arc takes twenty-second place and is the fifth story in the Whitebeard War season, which takes place immediately after the Impel Down Arc (it's a prison underwater where Luffy's brother Ace had been detained).

Post-Marine Ford arc
After the Marine Ford War, Rayleigh boarded a ship to go to Amazon Lily. He also explained the basic concepts of these Haki, and how to use it to fight the elephant. To avoid the attack of this ferocious beast, Silvers uses Kenbunshoku Haki and Busoshoku Haki to repel it. Once Luffy acquired the various Haki, Rayleigh defeated the elephant using Haoshoku Haki. Furthermore, this training lasted a year and six months, the time that Luffy mastered the different types of Haki.
Ellipse
To visit Shakky, Rayleigh went to Sabaody six months before the end of the timeskip preceding Luffy. He commented on how powerful the Straw Hat Pirates had become. He also did the recovery on the Sunny. Rayleigh then met some members of the Straw Hat crew on the Thousand Sunny namely Robin, Franky, Nami as well as Chopper and told them that Captain Monkey D.
