The Straw Hat 👒 (麦わら帽子, Mugiwara-bōshi or 麦わら, Mugiwara) worn by Monkey D. Luffy, the main character of One Piece, is one of the emblematic symbols of the animated series. Demalo Black
Throughout Luffy's adventures, several other characters have also worn a Straw Hat on their heads. This is notably the case of Demalo Black who was captain of the Fake Straw Hat Pirates . Indeed, this pirate tried to pretend to be Luffy in order to intimidate his opponents thanks to the latter's fame. History of the Straw Hat
From the beginning of the One Piece story, it is revealed to us that Red Shanks entrusted his precious Straw Hat to Monkey D. Luffy. As was said above, Shanks gave the hat to Luffy because he didn't want to take it into his crew since he was too young. It was a way for him to encourage the young pirate to persevere, especially since this hat represented a real treasure for Shanks. 💎 He also made Luffy promise to return the hat to him as soon as the latter became a great pirate. It was also revealed during the Reverie Arc that there was another Straw Hat and that this one was very large. This giant hat was first seen in chapter 906 of the manga. On this occasion, we see Im, the highest authority within the World Government and the main antagonist of the manga, descend a huge staircase and open an armored door at the basement level of the sacred land of Mary Geoise. This door 🚪 leads into a very cold room where we see Im contemplating this giant Straw Hat for a while while holding two wanted posters. The first was Luffy's while the second opinion remained hidden. What does this giant Straw Hat represent and who does it belong to?
On this subject, there are several theories launched by fans. First of all, the room in question seems to contain several compartments including the one with the giant Straw Hat. Many therefore consider it to be one of the many trophies present in the cold room. 🥶 This hat would be kept by the World Government to remember their victory during the forgotten century 800 years ago . It could therefore be that it is the hat of an enemy that the World Government killed during this missing century.
